It's that time of the month again! Time to give away free stuff! This month's giveaway features a copy of POD SpeedZone. This is an interesting game as it was designed specifically for online multiplayer. If you've ever played this game before then you'll know that it lacks any sort of real single-player mode (other than basically just single practice races). Heck, you can't even play all of the tracks offline. Connecting to the online servers would unlock a new track and extra cars in addition to opening up a whole plethora of new modes to play with other players all around the world. The good news is, Shuouma is getting close to reviving the game servers so soon you'll be able to experience this game the way it was meant to be played!

If you'd like to enter for a chance to win your very own copy of POD SpeedZone, simply leave a comment below and make sure you include a valid email address in the "Email Id" box. Just for fun, let me know what your favorite Dreamcast racing games are. The winner will be chosen one week from today (August 17th). Good luck!

Update: The winner has been chosen! Congratulations to jial!

Metropolitan Street Racing was one of my favorite racing games back in the Dreamcast day.

I liked it so much that I re-purchased it again a month ago. I'm not going to lie, it didn't really have the same appeal to me as it did back then. Lol

@jtduckman I suppose it could. It's kind of a single-player time trial racing game.

I used to play Daytona USA online all the time back in the SegaNet days. Sega GT was fun in it's own right as well. Never got a chance to play POD SpeedZone though...

(This isn't meant to be a second entry, just a continuation of the first.)

I don't know if these count, but I'd also like to give props to Looney Tunes Space Race, Crazy Taxi, and Crazy Taxi 2. They are lots of fun!

( Also, you might want to post about this giveaway to your Patreon accounts to let those upstanding people know about this offering. :-) )

My favorite is Re-Volt. I also like Daytona USA 2001 very much, plus I enjoy SEGA GT, SEGA Rally 2, and Metropolis Street Racer. In the future, I'd like to own Hydro Thunder and San Francisco Rush 2049, which I have played in the arcade.

As a kid I played a lot of Episode 1 Racers on Dreamcast, even if it was by far the worst port I didn't know better at the time.Pretty reminiscent of the F-zero series I ended up playing latter.
Of course that game was lost to the parents Ebay purge along with almost every other DC game..
Power Jet Racing was pretty fun too because it was on Jet Skies, and who doesn't love those? Some nice local multiplayer.

I really enjoy Hydro Thunder even tho it doesn't support the VGA output most times... Also if it counts as a racing game for you crazy taxi, the game with one of the best soundtracks of all time.

One of the games played online back to 2000. I remembered to play it only few times because i had more interesting on PSO and Quake 3 Arena. One of my fav racing games on DC it was World Grand Prix 1,2 , F355 and Daytona USA 2001.I liked POD too because it was running at 60 fps also. I hope Shu bring it back online soon just to feel again this beautiful days back in 2000.
