PBA Tour Bowling 2001 Is Back Online!

Does the excitement ever stop?! No it doesn’t! Just a few weeks after reviving The Next Tetris, Jonas has followed up with the resurrection of PBA Tour Bowling 2001’s online mode. This isn’t too surprising since it runs on virtually identical server software to Tetris and Starlancer which are powered by GameSpy. Only minor adjustments were needed to get PBA Bowling up and running.

Many of you might be scratching your heads thinking “I’ve never heard of this game.” and that’s because it was never released, at least not officially anyway. Bethesda (yes this game was developed by the Elder Scrolls/Fallout guys) shelved the Dreamcast version of the game most likely due to the discontinuation of the console but an unfinished build of the game was eventually leaked onto the internet. The leaked build includes a working online mode which actually had working servers back in the day. These servers were meant for the PC version of the game but Dreamcast players were able to connect regardless. That being said, I’m sure not that many people got to play the Dreamcast version of PBA Bowling online.
